Efter andra v&auml;rldskriget fram till 1990-talet ges sociala mots&auml;ttningar och sociala r&ouml;relser en allt st&ouml;rre betydelse. Efter millennieskiftet flyttas akt&ouml;rskapet &aring;ter upp&aring;t i samh&auml;llshierarkin; det demokratiska genombrottet ses &ouml;verv&auml;gande som en process inom institutionerna regering och riksdag. Samtidigt flyttas hotet mot demokratin i viss m&aring;n fr&aring;n h&ouml;ger till v&auml;nster p&aring; den politiska skalan.
